As
very enthusiastic collectors over a period of years, in 1992 we
decided to start a club for like minded collectors called MEMORIES
UK and the club embraces all aspects of Lucie Attwell memorabilia
from the original items from the turn of the century through to
the present day.
As
a member of the club you are kept informed of all the new items
introduced for our enjoyment, many of which are sold in our shop,
as we specialise in selling everything related to this famous illustrator.
Newsletters full of interesting information on all the memorabilia
produced from Mabel's wonderful illustrations are produced twice
a year. |

We
have always been the largest stockist of the Enesco Memories Of Yesterday
Collection, and the huge range we stock is therefore second to none.
These figurines were lovingly
reproduced from Mabel's original artwork and collected worldwide.
Abbey Antiques is the only shop outside of America to be honoured by Enesco
with the title 'Heritage Dealer', enabling us to stock
their special heritage figurines.

the rear of the shop is a museum full to overflowing with wonderful
items that have been produced throughout the years from Lucie Attwell's
colourful artwork, much of which evokes happy memories to so many
people. |

Attwellagy
and Attwellagists
 |
This
piece is an example of Attwellagy on display
in the shop. Club members gather at Abbey Antiques every October to
enjoy a pleasant day in the company of other Attwellagists.
A competition was recently held between club members to create a name
for our hobby. From the names suggested the Attwell family chose Attwellagy
as the name for a collection and Attwellagist for the name of a collector. |
